According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), 212,637 real estate units were sold in Turkey in December 2024, marking a 39% monthly increase and a 53.4% annual growth.

In total, 1,478,025 real estate units were sold in Turkey throughout 2024, which represents a 20.6% increase compared to the previous year.

The top three regions for property sales to foreigners were:
  • 1st place — Istanbul, 8,416 units
  • 2nd place — Antalya, 8,223 units
  • 3rd place — Mersin, 2 112 units

The majority of property buyers are from Russia, Iran and Ukraine.

Additionally, the Turkish Statistical Institute analyzed confidence in Turkey’s construction industry and reported that in December 2024, confidence increased by 1.9% compared to November 2024.
